Pick a Target for Hubble
In celebration of the International Year of Astronomy (click the banner in my sidebar) NASA is inviting people to vote for one of six candidate astronomical objects that have yet to be looked at by the telescope.
You have until March 1st to vote. All entries will be also be entered into a random draw in which a copy of the selected image will go to 100 entrants.
Voting is easy, just go to: You Decide.
If you are a STUDENT OR TEACHER read this:
NASA also invites teachers and students to participate in an accompanying Hubble Space Telescope classroom collage activity that integrates art, science and language arts. Students in participating classes will select their favorite Hubble images and assemble them in a collage. Students in each class also will choose their favorite object from the image voting contest and write essays about why they made their selections.
I STRONGLY encourage students and teachers to do this great activity.
